Mr. William S. "Billy" Cross, of Albany, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at his residence having attained the age of 87 years, 11 months, and 16 days. He was born in Albany, Kentucky on Saturday, October 24, 1931, the son of Barlow and Effie Cross. He was of the Christian faith and was a local farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Cross, his daughter, Diania Cross Garrett, his son, Stanley Dewayne Cross, and a great-great-grandson, Storm Dawson Garrett. He is survived by his daughters, Vindia Goodin of North Carolina, Billie Jack Daniel of Edmonton, Kentucky, Kemberly Hope Cross of Columbia, Kentucky, her siblings, Joe Cross of Adamsville, Tennessee, Elvlean Brown of Albany, Kentucky, his grandchildren, Rodney Garrett, Jennifer Bowlin, Adam Garrett, all of Albany, Kentucky, Dana Phillips, Dakota Goodin, both of North Carolin, Stanley McClister of Tennessee, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. The Funeral service was conducted Friday, October 11, 2019 in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Monte Everly officiating. Burial was in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Johnny Bowlin, Chase Bowlin, Kevin Thacker, Randy Brown, Jacob Garrett, Nick Smith, Anthony Garrett, and Adam Garrett. Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of Arrangements.
