Mr. Thomas Eugene Thompson of White House, Tennessee, formerly of Albany, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020, at his residence in Sumner County, Tennessee, having attained the age of 66 years, 3 months, and 22 days. He was the son of Roy Stanley and Willie Belle (Beaty) Thompson. He was a Hydro plant operator for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Nashville District for 44 years. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carol Ann (Hardin) Thompson of White House, Tennessee, whom he wed on Saturday, December 21, 1974, children, Brent (and Shelley) Thompson of Columbia, Kentucky, Eric (and Melissa) Thompson of Smithville, Tennessee, Katherine Thompson of White House, Tennessee, siblings, Michael Thompson of Byrdstown, Tennessee, Stanley Thompson of Albany, Kentucky, RoyAnn Randall of Albany, Kentucky, Sue Cooksey of Monticello, Kentucky, Dorothy Polston of Albany, Kentucky, grandchildren, Kaydence, Ethan, Emma, Landon, Colby, Lucas, Harmony, Jayde, along with a host of other family. The funeral service was conducted Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Thompson officiating. Casket bearers were Daniel Hutcherson, Phil Herrin, Eric Thompson, Frank Temple, Bobby Thrasher, Brent Thompson. Burial was in the Branham Grove Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. Campbell-New Funeral Home was honored to be in charge of all the arrangements.
