Mrs. Sue Lee (Duvall) Edwards of Albany, Kentucky passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at her residence in Albany, Kentucky, on Saturday, August 2, 2025, having attained the age of 81 years and 14 days. She was born on Thursday, July 20, 1944, in Albany, Kentucky, the daughter of Esco Duvall & Maggie (Owens) Duvall. Sue was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of Duvall Valley Pentecostal Church. She spent most of her working life at Sutton’s and Cagle’s. She also was an avid gardener, loved quilting, and there was nothing better than spoiling her family, who she deeply loved and cherished. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicky (Edwards) Brooking, siblings, Frankie Duvall, Kathlene Gibson, Johnny Duvall, Virgina Jolly, sisters-in-law, Glomia Duvall, Susie Duvall, Lois Duvall, and a brother-in-law, Russell Gibson.

Sue was survived by the love her life, Dean Edwards, whom she wed on Wednesday, August 16, 1961, and since followed her in death, daughter, Charlotte Kay Smith (Jimmy) all of Albany, Kentucky, siblings, Marshleen Guinn (Roger), Roger Duvall (Brenda), Peggy Stinson (Donnie), Ricky Duvall (Vicky), Jack Duvall, Donnie Duvall (Mary), all of Albany, Kentucky, grandchildren, Ryan Brooking (Hillary), Carli Boils (Nathan), and Madison Lovelace (Cory), great-grandchildren Trace Brooking, Bella Brooking, Everly Brooking, Rylee Brooking, Rhett Boils, Jax Boils, Willow Lovelace, and Ezra Lovelace.

A joint funeral service for Mr. & Mrs. Edwards was conducted on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 1:00 pm C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Duvall, Bro. Ricky Duvall, and Bro. Nathan Boils officiating. Burial was in the Edwards Chapel Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Ryan Brooking, Trace Brooking, Cory Lovelace, Nathan Boils, Jimmy Smith, Roger Duvall, Donnie Duvall and Stevie Rains.
