Sue Ellen (Guffey) Gilbert

Ms. Sue Ellen (Guffey) Gilbert of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at her residence in Clinton County, Kentucky, having attained the age of 44 years, 3 months, and 5 days. She was born in Albany, Kentucky on Monday, June 1, 1981, the daughter of Rex & Betty (Walker) Guffey. She was of Baptist faith, a loving homemaker and loved spending time with her children. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Henry & Edna Guffey, maternal grandparents, Curtis & Martha Walker, step-grandmother, Barbara Walker.

She is survived by her parents, children, Katie (& Cody) Burchett, Bailee Barrett, and Daniel Gage Barrett, brother, Chris Guffey, and niece, Torrie Guffey.

The funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. C.S.T. in The Memory Chapel of the Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Davis officiating. Burial was in the Burchett Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Tim Walker, Chris Guffey, Scott Stearns, Frankie Collins, Byson Cross, Cody Burchett, Justin Sloan, and Travis Slone.
