Sarah Frances (Smith) Engle

Mrs. Sarah Frances (Smith) Engle, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, at the Clinton County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Albany, Kentucky having attained the age of 91 years, 5 months, and 10 days. She was born on Wednesday, June 4, 1930, in Albany, Kentucky the daughter of John I. and Bessie (Sloan) Smith. She was of the Methodist faith, member of Albany United Methodist Church, employed by General Motors, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Engle whom she wed on Saturday September 19, 1981, a son, Michael D. Moody, a grandson, Logan Moody.

She is survived by her son Jerry (& Karla Kunze) Moody of Lexington, Kentucky, grandchildren, Sam Moody, Emma Rose Moody, Justin Nies, along with several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Mrs. Sarah Frances (Smith) Engle was conducted Friday, November 19, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Albany United Methodist Church with Bro. Greg Wells officiating. Casket bearers were Michael Burch, Jordan Burch, Dennis Sells, Justin Nies, Joe Russell, Greg Howard. Burial was in the Albany Cemetery in Albany, Kentucky. Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
