Ruby Nell (Shelton) Jones

Mrs. Ruby Nell Jones of Albany, Kentucky passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at The Clinton County Care and Rehab Center in Albany, Kentucky having attained the age of 75 years, 3 months and 28 days. She was born in Albany, Kentucky on Thursday, October 25, 1945 the daughter of Homer Calvin and Maudie Cleo (Wright) Shelton. She was of the Apostolic faith, a member of the Lakeview Full Gospel Church, and a cook for the Clinton County Board of Education. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ray Jones whom she wed on Saturday, December 22, 1962, infant daughter, Cathy Lynn Jones, siblings, Ethel Brown, Vera Carlene Bell, Wilma Jean Shelton, James Everett Shelton, Kenneth Earl Shelton.

She is survived by her children, Peggy Dishman of Albany, Kentucky, Lisa (& J.T.) Hardin of Albany, Kentucky, Bro. Scott (& Sis. Anita) Jones of Albany, Kentucky, sister, Brenda (& Jerry) Jones of Albany, Kentucky, grandchildren, Heather (& Jason) Hughes, Chelsey (& Daniel) Abbott, Ashley (& Austin) Gregory, Cameron Jones, Lexi Jones, Brooklyn Jones, Darien Wallace (& Ashton Hay), Jaden Wallace (& Agatha), great-grandchildren, Austin Hughes, Hunter Hughes, Bryce Gregory, Everley Gregory, Hadley Hay, special friend, Ashley Cooksey, along with a host of other family members and friends whom mourn her passing.

The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Jones, and Bro. Ted Burchett officiating. Casket bearers were Austin Hughes, Jason Hughes, Daniel Abbott, Austin Gregory, Chase Singer, Jim Guffey. Honorary casket bearers were Cameron Jones, Hunter Hughes, Bryce Gregory. Burial was in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
