Mr. Richard Paul Rigney passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky having attained the age of 52 years, 9 months, and 10 days. He was born in Albany (Clinton County), Kentucky on Tuesday, March 19, 1968, the son of the late Martin Otto Rigney and Helen Ferrill Rigney. He was of the Christian faith, member of Oak Grove Independent Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Rigney.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel Ann (Brown) Rigney, sister, Virginia Duvall, brother, James Rigney, all of Albany, Kentucky, aunt, Evelyn Ferrill, uncles, Willie Ferrill, George Ferrill, Lester Ferrill, & Ronnie Ferrill, niece, Amiee Duvall, nephew, Daniel Duvall, sister-in-law, Goldie Edwards, brother-in-law, Jack Brown Jr., great nieces, Madison Gray, Kaylee Duvall, Karman Duvall, Kiley Duvall, Kynlee Duvall, nieces, Elizabeth Edwards, Elizabeth Brown, nephews, James Edwards, Dawson Huckaby, Skyler Huckaby, Alex Edwards, Felisty Brown, & Samuel Brown, along with several cousins.
The funeral service was conducted on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. David Stewart officiating. Casket bearers were Jack Brown Jr., Daniel Duvall, Willie Ferrill, Jacob Guffey, Jeff Smith, Nicholas Thrasher, Brian Evans. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
