Mr. Phillip Wayne Conner, of Albany, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Wayne County Hospital in Monticello, Kentucky, having attained the age of 79 years, 6 months and 25 days.  He was born in the Indian Creek Community of Russell County, Kentucky on Friday, January 16, 1942, the son of Merrell & Lertie (Conner) Conner. He was of the Methodist faith , a member of Concord United Methodist Church, and he was a Custodian/Maintenance worker for Clinton County Board of Education . He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sharon Rector, sister, Peggy Conner, and brother, Danny Conner.

     He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Polston) Conner, whom he wed on Tuesday, April 27, 1976, of Albany, Kentucky, daughters, Susan (& Keith) Anderson, of Russell Springs, Kentucky, Mia (& Edward) Conner, of Cincinnati, Ohio, sister, Kathy (& Jerry) Garmon, of Columbia, Kentucky, grandchildren, Richie French, Darris Anderson, Lucas Anderson, Chris Reliford, Amanda Reliford, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

     The funeral service was conducted on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Wells officiating. Casket bearers were Edward J. Boll III, Ritchie French, Darris Anderson, Lucas Anderson, Earl Lee Polston, Kelly Polston, Tylor Martino, Mark Chumley. Honorary casket bearers were James Keith Anderson, Clyde Shelton, James Earl Carver. Special singing by Shirley Melton accompanied on the piano by Jewell Pyles.
