Mrs. Lyda Pauline (Wells) Conner, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away, Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Pickett Care and Rehabilitation Center in Pickett County, Tennessee, having attained the age of 94 years, 11 months, and 11 days. She was born in Albany, Kentucky, on Tuesday, June 4, 1929, the daughter of Paul & Tressie (Neathery) Wells. She worked as a secretary for the Farm Bureau Board, was a member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary, and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her, husband, Garlin Murl Conner, whom she wed on July 9th, 1945, sisters, Ila (Wells) Goyler, Elizabeth (Wells) Ramey, brothers, John Wells, and Dr. Bill Wells.

She is survived by her son, Paul (& Kathy) Conner, grandchildren, Rachel Horner of Albany, Kara (& Keith) Connatser of Knoxville, Tennessee, Brett (& Sarah) Conner of Bremerton, Washington, and Dr. Kailyn Conner of Blue Ash, Ohio, great-grandchildren, Ethan Horner, Aidan Horner, Annabelle Conner, Bellarose Conner, Danna Connatser, and Emily Connatser, and many family, and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. CST on Sunday, May 19, 2024, in the chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Huffaker and Jeremy Roy officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 19, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. CST until the funeral hour. Burial will be in Memorial Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Albany VFW Post 1096 or to Central Grove Baptist Church.
