Mrs. Mary Adilene (Smith) Dicken of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the Medical Center in Albany, having attained the age of 81 years and 19 days. She was born on Monday, July 2, 1945, in Clinton County, Kentucky, the daughter of Bud Jerome & Gladys G. (Smith) Smith. Mary was a homemaker who devoted her life to caring for her family. She enjoyed camping, shopping, traveling in the truck with her husband, and treasured spending time with those she loved. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Benton Lee Smith; brother-in-law, Clifton Dicken, and sisters-in-law, Hazel Dicken-Garcia, and Jeanie Dicken.
She is survived by her husband, Clayton Keen Dicken, whom she wed on February 4, 1963; children, Rebecca (& William) Norris and Brian Dicken (& Tammy Cowles); sisters, Myrtie Ann Cash, sisters-in-law, Letha Gay (& Randall) Amonett, Barbara Dicken; brother-in-law, Lee Dicken; grandchildren, Nick (& Leah) Norris, Nevin Norris (& Maisie Collins), Nathan Norris, Bryce Dicken, Gerrick Dicken, Colson Dicken, Sophie West, great-grandchildren, Layla, Emerson and Livie.
The funeral service was conducted on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. in The Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Roger Owens officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Hill Cemetery in Albany, Kentucky.
