Mrs. Mary Ann (Perdue) Freeman of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, in McMinnville (Warren County), Tennessee having attained the age of 78 years, 1 month, and 25 days. She was born in Zanesville, Ohio, on Wednesday, October 15, 1947, the daughter of George & Nellie (Levicki) Perdue. She was of the Mennonite faith and was a devoted member of the Pleasant Ridge Mennonite Church. In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her sons, Leo, Earl, and Amos, daughters, Emma, Anna, Frances, half-brother, David Perdue, step-brother, Michael Perdue, and six grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, John Freeman, whom she wed on October 30, 1965; sons, Homer (& Martha Graber) Freeman of Goodspring, Tennessee, Abner (& Eunice Martin) Freeman of Cynthiana, Kentucky, Orville (& Loretta Farmwald) Freeman of Albany, Kentucky, Noah (& Apryl Hagan) Freeman of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, Uriah (& Jennifer Fisher) Freeman of Cleburne, Texas, Sherman Freeman of Goodspring, Tennessee; daughters, Emily (& Evan) Brubaker of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Nina (& Michael) Martin of Townsend, Montana, Hannah (& Zebedee) Steinmann of Marrowbone, Kentucky, Sarah (& James) Zimmerman of Lincoln, Missouri, fifty-six grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Pleasant Ridge Mennonite Church, 575 State Hwy 1009, Monticello, KY 42633, at 10:00 a.m. E.ST. with Bro. Robert Nissley & Bro. Levi Schrock officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Ridge Mennonite Church Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky.
