Mr. Marvin Athel "Junior." Johnson of Albany, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024, at the TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, having attained the age of 71 years, and 3 days. He was born in Albany, Kentucky on Sunday, August 30, 1953, the son of Marvin Edgar & Lois Marie (Beaty) Johnson. He was of the Christian faith, a member of the Masonic lodge 206, in Albany Kentucky, and worked for the Clinton County News as a press operator. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Johnson.


He is survived by his wife, Shelia (Jones) Johnson, whom he wed on Saturday, November 16, 1974, children, Maria (& Jeff) Conner of Albany, Kentucky, and Bryant (& Kimberly) Johnson of Burkesville, Kentucky, siblings, Joe (& Louise) Johnson, Russell (& Jackie) Johnson, Ed (& Sally) Johnson, all of Albany, Kentucky, Roy (& Cindy) Johnson of Byrdstown, Tennessee, William (& Vicky) Johnson, Willard (& Sherry) Johnson, both of Albany, Kentucky, Charles (& Karen) Johnson of Byrdstown, Tennessee, Kenneth Johnson of Albany, Kentucky, Michelle (& Kevin) Vaughn of McCreary County, Kentucky, and grandchildren, Briana Layne Conner, Loran Elizabeth Conner, and Johnson Tull Conner.


The funeral service was conducted on Saturday, September 7, 2024 in The Memory Chapel of the Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. David Stearns & Bro Johnny Riddle officiating. Cremation was chosen by the family.
