Mr. Mark Alan Sholes, of Albany Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, having attained the age of 64 years,  2 months, and 7 days. He was born in Kenitra, Morocco on Thursday, October 29, 1959, the son of David Alan and Irene Fostina (Latham) Sholes. He was of the Protestant faith and a veteran of the army infantry.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Sholes. He is survived by his children, Kevin Sholes, Eric Sholes, and Inga Sholes all of Germany, Olivia Sholes and Hannah Sholes both of Saint Petersburg, Florida, siblings, David Sholes of Michigan City, Indiana, Joe Sholes of Ocala, Florida, James Sholes, BethAnn Sholes, and Amanda Sholes all of Roberts, Missouri, and Lesley Sholes of Scotland, England, grandchildren, Ryan, Jolene, Madlene, Fabienne, Marc, and Finn, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives, and friends.

          The funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, January  24, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. C.S.T. in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Wells officiating. Casket barers were John Steele, Joseph E. Sholes, Troy Rose, Troy Sholes, and Tony Poore. Burial was in Cartwright Cemetery in Albany, Kentucky. Campbell-New Funeral Home in Albany, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
