Lyla Faye East

Mrs. Lyla Faye East, of Monticello, Kentucky passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021, at her residence in Monticello, Kentucky, having attained the age of 77 years, 7 months, and 7 days. She was born on Wednesday, July 28, 1943 the daughter of Charlie and Hazel (Huffaker) East.  She was of the Baptist faith, a member of the Fall Creek Baptist Church in Wayne County, Kentucky, was self-employed, and also was a secretary at Wayne County Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Lee East, former husband, William Franklin Clime.
She is survived by her children, Baron Clime of Zion, Kentucky, Brandon (& Jennifer) Clime of Burnside, Kentucky, granddaughter, Audrina Clime, siblings, Charles Arthur East of Monticello, Kentucky, Jimmy Gale East of Frazier, Kentucky, David Michael “Mike” East of Burnside, Kentucky, special friends and caregivers, Alphine, Maragaret, Cindy, Marilyn.

The funeral service was conducted Thursday, March 11, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at The Meadow Creek United Methodist Church with Bro. Dewey Burks officiating. Casket bearers were Tony East, Donnie East, Richard Lewis, Ray Lewis. Burial was in the Meadow Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky. Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
