Mrs. Lou Ann (Guffey) Tallent, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away, Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at her residence in Clinton County, Kentucky, having attained the age of 72 years, 10 month, and 22 days. She was born in Albany, Kentucky on Saturday, August, 18, 1951, the daughter of John L. & Virginia (Lawson) Guffey. She was of the Baptist faith, a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church, and worked for Home Health as a physical therapist assistant. In her free time, Lou Ann enjoyed sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her Father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin K. Guffey.


She is survived by her mother, Virginia Guffey, husband, Jerry Tallent, whom she wed on Sunday, December 24, 1967, children, Leanne (& Rick) Albertson of Albany, brother, Keith (& Rebecca) Guffey of Albany, sister, Deborah (& Jerry) Crabtree of Indiana, grandchildren, Jessie (& Kody) Albertson, Eric (& Paisley) Albertson, both of Albany, and great-grandchildren, Delani Albertson, Jaycee Dicken, and Oaklynn Albertson.


The funeral service was conducted on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Bernard & Bro. Joe Summers officiating. Burial was in the Cave Springs Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Rick Albertson, Eric Albertson, Kody Dicken, J.D. Mullins, Chad Brown, and Nathan Brown.
