Mr. Lloyd Earl. "Hack" Smith of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky, having attained the age of 70 years, 4 months, and 23 days. He was born in Albany, Kentucky on Thursday, May 10, 1951 the son of Ruben and Ostie (Kennedy) Smith. He was of the Pentecostal faith, and a sawmill hand for Static Lumber. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Johnny Earl Smith, siblings. Dee Smith, Lonzo Smith, and Elgie Barnes, Ricky Smith, granddaughter, Chelsea Barnes.
He is survived by his children, Sherry (& Jeff) Cooper, Miranda Angel both of Albany, Kentucky, siblings, Ora Lee Stearns of Albany, Kentucky, Georgia Reynolds of Byrdstown, Tennessee, Connie Duvall, Teresa Scroggins, Tony Smith, all of Albany, Kentucky, grandchildren, James (& Tisha) Barnes, Johnny (& Kyra) Barnes, Grayson Angel, Marley Angel, Rumor Myers, Willa Jackson, great-grandchildren, Blakelynn, Miley, Addy, Raylen, special friends, Linda Smith, Tammy Angel, along with a host of nieces and nephews and other family members.
The funeral service was conducted on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home in Albany with Bro. Jack Duvall officiating. Casket bearers were James Barnes, Irvin Jones, Johnny Barnes, Jeff Cooper, Kenneth Foster, Billy Segers, and Billy Parrigin. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help pay final expenses. Campbell-New Funeral Home in Albany was honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
