Mrs. Lesia Lynnette (Cross) Stockton, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the Medical Center in Albany, Kentucky having attained the age of 55 years, 2 months, and 17 days. She was born on Sunday, October 23, 1966, in Albany, Kentucky, the daughter of James Winfred and Edith Christine (Marcum) Cross. She was of the Baptist faith, a member of Dicken Chapel Baptist Church, and worked for Intrepid Home Health before her retirement. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Jackie Cross, brother-in-law, J.R. Baker. She is survived by her spouse, David Stockton of Albany, Kentucky, sons, Chad (& Krista) Stockton of Burkesville, Kentucky, Nathan Stockton (& Staci Guffey) of Albany, Kentucky, siblings, Barb Cross of Burkesville, Kentucky, Peggy Cross (& Ronnie Abner) of Albany, Kentucky, Kenny Cross of Albany, Kentucky, grandchildren, Rylan McGaw, Colton Stockton, Tyton Stockton, Logan Stockton, Maelyn Stockton, a host of nieces and nephews, along with her special dog, Sugar.
The funeral service was conducted on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky with Bro. Joe Bryant, Bro. Rodney Thrasher, and Bro. Carl Cross officiating. Burial was in the Davis Chapel Cemetery. Casket bearers were Adam Staton, Joe Staton, Ryan Melton, Josh Bowling, Michael Elmore, Brandon Grider, and Trevor Groce. Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
