Mr. Dennis Larry Hurst, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee having attained the age of 77 years, 1 month, and 7 days. He was born on Tuesday, December 12, 1944, in Albany, Kentucky, the son of James Blaine and Eula Gladys (Smith) Hurst. He was of the Baptist faith, a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church, a self employed farmer, and a loving husband and father. He is preceded in death by his parents and many beloved brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his spouse, Edalene (Riddle) Hurst whom he wed on Saturday, November 14, 1964, his immediate family, Tim (& Stephanie) Hurst, Brianna, and Emily, all of Albany, Kentucky; Jennifer Cain, Wiley, and Brady all of Somerset, Kentucky; Stephanie Likins, and Hayden of Somerset, Kentucky; Tommy (& Dana) Tallent, Chris, Michael, and Jennifer; sister, Sherry Hurley and her daughters, Sheryl and Stacey of Akron, Ohio, brothers, freeman Padgett and his family of Monticello, Kentucky, Byrl Padgett and his family of Monroe, Tennessee.
The funeral service was conducted on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Cave Springs Baptist Church in Clinton County, Kentucky with Bro. Ronnie Bernard, Bro. Devon Guy officiating. Casket bearers were Billy Rigney, Jeff Vincent, Boo Dicken, Rodney Brumley, Tyler Young, Travis Tollefson, Gary Ferguson, Clay Padgett, Brady Cain, Wiley Cain. Honorary casket bearers were Jaynes Riddle, Ralph Albertson, David Broome, Curly Mann, Steve Young, Mack Wright, Harvey Dicken, Steve Stearns, Michael Cummings, Rob Winsett. Burial was in the Cave Springs Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
