Mrs. Joyce D. (McGuire) Payne of Albany, Kentucky, passed away at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky on, Wednesday, October 16, 2024, having attained the age of 86 years, 9 months, and 11 days. She was born in Louisa, Kentucky on Wednesday, January 5, 1938, the daughter of Edgar Ray & Delphia (Brumfeild) McGuire. She was of the Baptist faith, a member of Green Grove Church, and worked as an office manager. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Walter “Ed” Payne Jr., sister, Ruth Ellen Proffitt, and son-in-law, Terry Latham.

She is survived by daughter, Kathy (Payne) Laskey, grandchildren, Amanda Kathryn Roark, Megan Joy Robinson, Donald Laskey Jr., 6 great-grandchildren, many other family, & friends.

The funeral service was conducted on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home, with Bro. Jordan Lockridge officiating. Burial was in the Peolia Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Matthew Payne, Casey Payne, Austin Wingate, Cory Neupauer, JJ Rodgers, and Eddie Lee. Honorary Casket Bearers were, Chris Mandell, Keith Profitt, James “Pete” Profitt, Bruce Kelsey, Kenny Lee, Kurtis Lee, and Jeff Pharis.
