Mrs. Joyce M. (Sells) Bookout, of Albany Kentucky, passed away, Thursday January 11, 2024 in Albany, Kentucky, having attained the age of 75 years, 5 months, and 8 days. She was born in Albany, Kentucky on Tuesday, August 3, 1948, the daughter of James Robert and Gertie Lee (Carr) Sells. She was a Christian and a member of Twin Lakes Grace Fellowship Church.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, James Lewis Bookout, whom she wed on Saturday, February 26, 1966, brothers, Joe Sells, Robert Lee Sells, Freddie Sells, and a sister, Delane Taylor. She is survived by her son, David Bookout of Byrdstown, Tennessee, a granddaughter, Whitney (& Storm) Burchett of Albany, Kentucky, sisters, Virginia Groce of Albany, Kentucky, Phyllis Smith of Marion, Indiana, other relatives, and many friends.

          The funeral service was conducted on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.(CST) in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Shelley officiating. Burial was be in Peolia Cemetery in Albany, Kentucky. Casket bearers were Tim Pickens, David Bookout, Ryan Hill, Zack Sawyers, Brad Cross, and Storm Burchett. Campbell-New Funeral Home in Albany, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
