Johnnie Lee Mason Obituary

Mr. Johnnie Lee Mason of Byrdstown, Tennessee, formerly of Albany, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee, having attained the age of 76 years, 5 months and 19 days. He was born in Peoria Illinois on Sunday, December 9, 1945, the son of Oscar Haywood and Elizabeth Ethel (Stearns) Mason. He was a Christian man, and a self employed iron worker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Darin Mason, Tiffany Dawn Mason, siblings, Bobby Ray Mason, and William Mannon Mason.


    He is survived by his spouse, Vickie (Sanders) Mason of Byrdstown, Tennessee, whom he wed on Monday, March 11, 2013, children, Tammy Mason-Bryant of Vernon Texas, Brian Todd (& Tina) Mason of Mansfield, Texas, John Taylor Mason of Mansfield, Texas, Elizabeth Ann (& Steven) Mason-Gutierrez of Lubbock, Texas, siblings, Jimmy (& Louise) Mason of Albany, Kentucky, Jerry (& Janice) Mason of Albany, Kentucky, Kathy (& Richard) Melton of Kissimmee, Florida, Oscar (& Gloria) Mason of Phoenix, Arizona, Richard (& LeAnna) Mason of Algood, Tennessee, 9 grandchildren, several cousins, nieces, and nephews.


    The funeral service was conducted on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home in Albany, Kentucky, with Bro. Jimmy Mason officiating. Casket bearers were John Mason, Jerry Mason, Oscar Mason, Richard Mason, Todd Mason, Joey Harris, Jaxson Mason, Justin Mason, Dale Mason, Jeremy Fryman, and Davey Acrey. Honoray casket bearers were Jim Mason, and Brandon Mason. Burial was in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky.  Campbell-New Funeral Home was honored to be in charge of all the arrangements.
