Jeannie Ruth (Tiller) Mills Spears of Albany, Kentucky, formerly of Russell Springs, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at the Cumberland Valley Manor in Burkesville, Kentucky having attained the age of 89years, 8 months and 26 days. She was born in Russell County, Kentucky on Friday, June 27, 1930 the daughter of the late Edaward and Lizzie (Coffey) Tiller. She was of the Pentecostal faith, was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Company, a seamstress for Sutton Shirt Corporation, and owned a clothing store for more than 10 years. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husbands, Arlie Mills whom she wed on Friday, May 20, 1949, and Howard Spears whom she wed on Friday, June 1, 1990. She is survived by her niece, Nelda Sullivan of Plainfield, Indiana, nephews, Elvin Tiller of Russell Springs, Kentucky, Phillip Tiller of Russell Springs, Kentucky along with several other family members. The Private funeral service was conducted Saturday, March 28, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. (CST) in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro Donnie Shelley officiating. Private burial followed in the Cave Springs Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket bearers were Mike Tiller, and the funeral home staff. Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
