Mr. James Ed Ramey, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at his residence in Clinton County, Kentucky, having attained the age of 87 years,11 months, and 6 days. He was born in Stone (Pike County), Kentucky on Monday, January 4, 1937, the son of Fred & Eileen (Napier) Ramey. He was of the Christian faith, a member of Mt. Union Christian Church and worked as a coal miner for several years. In his free time James enjoyed woodworking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Pat Robintte, Lenvil Ramey, Jerry Ramey, and son, Joe Ramey.

He is survived by his wife, Judy (Thomas) Ramey, whom he wed on Wednesday, July 16, 2003, children, James “Jim” (& Judy) Ramey of Tampa, Florida, Kelly (& Susie) Ramey of Stone, Kentucky, brother, Charles “Chuck” Ramey of Louisville, Kentucky, grandchildren, Joe (& Vickie) Ramey, Jennifer (& Justin) Frey, and great-grandchildren, Alivia, Cooper, and Juliet.

The funeral service was conducted on Saturday, December 14, 2024, beginning at 3:00 P.M. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of the Campbell-New Funeral Home, with Bro. Kenny Neal, and Bro. Bruce Stearns officiating. Casket bearers were Jim Ramey, Kelly Ramey, Joe Ramey, Cooper Ramey, Mike Matthews, and Josh Brown. Burial was in the Memorial Hill Cemetery in Albany, Kentucky.
