Mr. James Cooper Baker of Byrdstown, Tennessee passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Pickett County Care and Rehabilitation in Byrdstown, having attained the age of 77 years, 3 months, and 14 days. He was born in Albany, Kentucky on Monday, February 9, 1942, the son of James Euell and Hassie Dean (Cooper) Baker. He was of Pentecostal faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Dale Baker, and a nephew, Shawn Dale Baker. He is survived by two sisters, Lila Faye Gibson of Albany, Kentucky, Judy (Frank) Olson of Crawfordsville, Florida, sister-in-law, Linda Baker, two nieces, Tabitha Hammond and Kimberly Westerfield, two nephews, Bryant Gibson and Teddy Olson, several great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces, friend, Don Gibson, a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral service was conducted Wednesday, May 29, 2019, in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Gray officiating. Burial was in the Cave Springs Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were James Hammond, John Dicken, Gary Polston, Michael Gibson, Bryant Gibson, and Lonnie Boils. Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
