George Lynn Claborn Obituary

Mr. George Lynn Claborn of Albany, Kentucky passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019, at his residence in Albany, Kentucky, having attained the age of 64 years, 7 months, and 20 days. He was born in Byrdstown, Tennessee on Monday, May 31, 1954, the son of George Earl and Lennie Reba Ledbetter Claborn. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and an oil well driller, having worked many years in the petroleum industry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Tommy Claborn and David Claborn and sisters, Sandra Jackson and Lisa Claborn. He is survived his son, George Claborn of Albany, Kentucky, daughters, Whitney Jae Claborn, Kaitlyn Ann (and Trent) Groce, both of Albany, Kentucky, sisters, June (and Benny) Bowlin, Ann Bowlin, Debbie Hood (and Rodney Brown), all of Albany, Kentucky, Helen Huff, Rose Smith, both of Cookeville, Tennessee, and grandchildren, Noah Claborn, Alison Claborn, Audri Groce and Alyssa Groce. The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, January 24, 2019, in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Davis officiating. Burial was in the Edgefield Cemetery in Pickett County, Tennessee. Casket Bearers were Stevie Bowlin, Tony Bowlin, Michael Bowlin, Trent Groce, and Charles McIver. Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
