Geneva (New) Coop

Mrs. Geneva Kathyrn (New) Coop of Albany, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord suddenly Sunday, August 15, 2021 at her home having attained the age of 82 years, 7 months & 12 days. She was born in Somerset (Pulaski County) Kentucky on Tuesday, January 3, 1939 the Daughter of Oscar Everett & Nellie (Hammond) New. She was a Christian Lady, and a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church, a telephone operator, seamstress and a Farmer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband & the Love of her life, Lonnie Jack Coop, whom she wed on Saturday, June 3, 1961.

     She is survived by her Son, Mark Lyle (& Beverly Dawn) Coop of Albany, Kentucky, Granddaughters, Addison Marie Coop, Madison Bree Ravellette, Sister Carolene New of Albany, Brothers, Curtis New of Kings Mountain,  Edward (& Ann) New of Monticello, One nephew, Joshua New and Two Nieces, Roxanne Guffey & Cynthia Knutson also survive.

     The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. C.S.T at The Cave Springs Baptist Church in Clinton County with Bro. Devon Guy & Bro. Ronnie Bernard officiating. Casket bearers were Chucky Conner, Billy Rigney, Troy Alberston, Joey Albertson, Ronald Albertson, Bo Dicken, Wayne Carlton, Ned Sloan Jr. Burial was in the Cave Springs Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky.  Campbell-New Funeral Home in Albany was honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
