Gary Tallent

      Mr. Gary Wayne Tallent of Albany, Kentucky passed away at his home on Friday, September 8, 2023  having attained the age of 76 years, 3 months, and 23 days. He was born in Albany, Kentucky on Friday, March 16, 1947, the son of Aaron "Doc" & Reba (Cummings) Tallent. 

     He was of the Christian faith, and a member of Fairland Baptist Church.  He was also a business owner for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bobby Tallent, JD. Tallent, Guy Tallent, Johnny Tallent, Joe David Tallent, sister, Ida Maude Thrasher, and infant brother, Aaron Oakley Tallent.

     He is survived by his former wife, Becky Rayborn, of Albany Kentucky, their children, Erica (& Clint) Carver, of Hilton Head, South Carolina, Krystle (& Chris) Bell, of Albany Kentucky, his son, Eric Tallent, of Franklin, Indiana, long time companion, Arrisia Looper, of Albany Kentucky, her family, Trish Davis, of Albany, Kentucky, and Deb Looper, of Albany, Kentucky. Gary was also the loving brother to Wendell (& Sylvia) Tallent, of Albany, Kentucky, and Ina (& Rob) Norris, of Whiteland, Indiana, grandchildren, Chance Carver, Zander Bell, Zayden Bell, Alexis Tallent, Peyton Tallent, Sierria (& Nick) Price, great-grandchild, Teagen Price, and a host of other relatives and many friends.

     The funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.. in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home. Casket bearers were Gene Ferguson, Rocky Tallent, Carl Ferguson, Neli Conner, Tracy Thurman, and Lee Gunther. Burial was in the Cave Springs Cemetery in Albany, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, contribution appreciated to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

          Campbell-New Funeral Home in Albany was honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
