Freddie Morris Sells

Mr. Freddie Morris Sells, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at the Albert B. Chandler Hospital, in Lexington, Kentucky, having attained the age of 76 years, 11months, and 16 days. He was born on Wednesday, February 28, 1945 in Clinton County, Kentucky, the son of James Robert and Gertie Lee (Carr) Sells. He was of the Baptist faith, a member of Albany Independent Baptist Church, and was an inspector for Osh-Kosh. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Delane Taylor, Robert Lee Sells, and Joe Sells.

          He is survived by his spouse, Edna Glee (Stockton) Sells, whom he wed on Saturday, August 5, 1967, children, Melissa Purdue, Paula (&Tim) Pickens, siblings Joyce Bookout, Virginia Groce, all of Albany, Kentucky, Phyllis Smith of Marion, Indiana, grandchildren, Lindsay Perdue, Lashay (& Bobby) Fisher, Matthew (& Dallas) Perdue, Cassidy Honeycutt, Ryan Hill, Jeremy Perdue, great-grandchildren, Payton Smith, Jacob Smith, Landon Wade, Lexus Wade, Bentley Fisher, Joshua Fisher, Ian Young, and many other relatives and friends. 

          The funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, February 22, at 100 p.m. at Albany Independent Baptist Church in Clinton County, Kentucky, with Bro. Melvin Daniel and Bro. Tommy Hensley officiating. Special singing by Bro. Tommy Hensley. Casket bearers were Matthew Perdue, Jeremy Perdue, Ryan Hill, Tim Pickens, Bobby Fisher, and David Bookout. Honorary casket bearers were Austin Stearns, and Terry Boggs Burial was in the Peolia Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
