Mrs. Flonnie Ester (Stinson) Abbott of Albany, Kentucky, passed away at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky on, Monday, October 14, 2024, having attained the age of 71 years, 8 month, and 15 days. She was born in Albany, Kentucky on Friday, January 30, 1953, the daughter of Leonard and Lorene (Foster) Stinson. She was of the Christian faith, a member of Oak Grove Church, and worked for Sutton’s. Flonnie’s hobbies that she enjoyed most were sewing quilts, crocheting, and talking on the phone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Lonnie Stinson, and Connie Ferrell.

          She is survived by her husband Jackie Abbot, whom she wed on Saturday, September 9, 1972, son, Brian (& Casey) Abbott, sister, Linnie (& Lester) Beaty all of Albany, Kentucky, grandchildren, Jennifer Abbott, Nick Abbott, great-grandchild, Drake May.

The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home, with Bro. Tony Bolling and Bro. David Stearns officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket bearers were Derek Beaty, Gary Ferrell, Lester Beaty, Bennett Speck, Nick Abbott, Michael Stinson, John Robbins, and Rylan Speck.
