Miss Donna Michele Groce of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at her residence in Albany, Kentucky, having attained the age of 55 years, 9 months, and 16 days. She was born in Louisville (Jefferson County) , Kentucky on Monday, April 15, 1963, the daughter of Edgar Louis and Cynthia Nelda (Hickey) Groce. She was a member of The Highway Church of the Nazarene, had a Masters Degree in Education, a Rank I and was a retired teacher for the Clinton County School System. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother, Cynthia Nelda (Hickey) Groce, her son, John Edgar "Jed" Groce, both of Albany, Kentucky, a host of other relatives and many friends. The funeral service was conducted on Sunday, February 3, 2019 in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Grant and Bro. Don Davis officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Hill Cemetery in Albany, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Sid Scott, Tim Duvall, Doug Spears, Frankie Butler, Allen Flowers and Nathan Thrasher. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions to the Jed Groce College Fund. Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
