Mrs. Diana (Trapp) Shelton of Albany, Kentucky passed away on Friday December 5, 2025, at her residence, having attained the age of 72 years, 2 months, and 24 days. She was born in Albany, Kentucky on Saturday, September 12, 1953, the daughter of Keith & Emogene (Sewell) Trapp. She was of the Christian faith and was a member of the Albany Church of Christ. She was a devoted homemaker, cherished her time with her family, especially when it came to spoiling all kids. She also found great joy in reading, solving puzzles, and paint by numbers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Frankie Trapp.


She is survived by her husband, Eddie Shelton, whom she wed on Tuesday July 1, 1975, sons, Donald (& Tana) Story of Albany, Kentucky, Timothy (& Jelina) Shelton of Albany, Kentucky, daughters, Lindsey (& Eddie) Braswell of Albany, Kentucky, and Kayla (& Chris) Wilbur of Amarillo, Texas, grandchildren, Tyler, Brandon, Cody, Hailey, Uriel, Maverick, Cheyenne, Ethan, great-grandchildren, Carson, Jeffery, Emma, Bailey, Amelia, Asher, Bailey, and Maggie.


The funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of the Campbell-New Funeral Home, with Bro. Monty Everley officiating. Burial was in the Shelton Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket bearers were Tyler Story, Cody Story, Derek Shelton, Michael Meadows, Eddie Braswell and Chris Wilbur.
