Mr. Charles Eugene Delk of Waddy, (Shelby County), Kentucky, formerly of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at his residence in Waddy, Kentucky, having attained the age of 75 years, 10 months, and 15 days. He was born on Saturday, June 17, 1950, in Albany, Kentucky, the son of Oliver “Bud” & Pauline (Duvall) Delk. Eugene was of Christian faith and a hard-working mechanic. He enjoyed playing pool, cars, horses, and was a firearm enthusiast. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandsons, Randy Delk, Ritchie Delk, siblings, Patsy Talbott, Mary Lou Terrell, Shirley Hickman, Kenneth Delk, sister-in-law, Pauline Delk, and brother-in-law, Gayle Dicken.
He is survived by his children, Michael Gene (& Pamela Gail) Delk, Eugene Allen (& Marilyn) Delk, both of Waddy, Kentucky; siblings, Marvin Delk, Rebecca (& John) Harrod, both of Louisville, Kentucky, Sue (& Bill) Pierce, Deborah (& Frankie) Smith, Tony (& Virginia) Delk, Johnny (& Jennifer) Delk, Fonzie Dicken, all of Albany, Kentucky, Cathy (& Steve) Barrie of Sacramento, California, Sheila (& Don) Abbott of Byrdstown, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Lisa Delk of Albany, Kentucky; grandchildren, Zachary Delk, Mckenzie Delk, Tyler Trent, Ashley (& Dustin) Watson, Marcus Hutchinson; great-grandchildren, Vella Delk, Miya Watson, and Atticus Watson.
The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 12:00 noon CST in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Wells officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Adam Stewart, James Stewart, Jason Little, Brad Little, Chris Dicken, Nick Delk, Justin Delk, and Zach Delk.
