Mr. Billy Harold Johnson of Albany, Kentucky passed away Friday, November 22, 2019, at his residence in Albany, having attained the age of 82 years, 3 months, and 2 days. He was born in Albany, Kentucky on Friday, August 20, 1937, the son of Randell and Letha (Stockton) Johnson. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, a U. S. Air Force Veteran, and a truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Billie Johnson Garrett. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis S. (Shelley) Johnson, children, Pina (Michael) Claborn, and Johnna (Travis) Stearns, sibling, Julia (Clarence) Brown, all of Albany, Kentucky, grandchildren, Krystal Claborn, Leah Claborn, Rachel Claborn, Bethany Claborn, Christopher Claborn, Peyton Garrett, Aiden Cooksey, Haylin Stearns, Willow Stearns, and great-grandchildren, Daylen Morrow, and Kyndal Morrow. The funeral service was conducted Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at the Grace Fellowship Church with Bro. Michael Pierce and Bro. Donnie Shelley officiating. Burial was in the McWhorter Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Jay Denney, Jimmy Glidewell, David Guffey, Travis Stearns, Johnny Shelley, Frank McWhorter, Burl Bell, and Charles Stockton. Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
