Mrs. Betty Lynn (Goodman) Smith of Albany, Kentucky, passed away at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute in Nashville, Tennessee on, Sunday, December 22, 2024, having attained the age of 63 years, 10 months, and 27 days. She was born in Clinton County, Kentucky on Wednesday, January 25, 1961, the daughter of Coleman & Inez (Pryor) Goodman. She was of the Christian faith and worked for OshKosh Winningham, and Kellwood sewing factories and Save-A-Lot food chain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents, and sister, Becky Means.
She is survived by her husband, Greg Howard Smith, whom she wed on Saturday, June 27,1981, children, Lindsay Smith, Blake Smith, siblings, Phyllis (& Jackie) Flowers, Judy (& Danny) Thomas, Kathy (& David) McCarty, Christopher (& Tracy) Goodman, all of Albany, Kentucky, Angie (& Brian) York of Byrdstown, Tennessee, mother-in-law, Joanne Smith, and grandchildren, Luke Ledbetter, Lily Ledbetter, and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The funeral service was conducted on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home, with Bro. David Stearns and Bro. Mike Huffaker officiating, and special music by Teresa Brown. Burial was in the Peolia Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket bearers were Tripp Flowers, Devan Thomas, Derrick Thomas, Dalton Goodman, Parker Means, and Caleb Marlow.
