Bessie Lee (Braswell) Glidewell

Mrs. Bessie Lee (Braswell) Glidewell of Albany, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at The Medical Center at Albany in Albany, Kentucky, having attained the age of 76 years, 5 months, and 17 days. She was born in Albany, Kentucky on Wednesday, July 26, 1944, the daughter of the late Virgil and Eula Mae (Perdue) Braswell. She was of the Baptist faith, attended Twin Lakes Grace Fellowship Church, and was an employee of Sutton Shirt Corporation.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gene Glidewell, brothers, Leonard Braswell, Ed Braswell, Frankie Braswell, and sister, Betty Cross. 

She is survived by her daughters, Patsy (Charles) Jones, Patricia (Tim) Riddle, her son, Scottie (Carolyn) Glidewell, all of Albany, Kentucky, her sister, Ina Gregory of Albany, Kentucky, two grandchildren, Stephanie Burns and Cody Riddle, two great-grandchildren, Elliana Burns and Breann Burns, and several nieces and nephews. 

The funeral service was conducted on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Shelley and Bro. Carl Cross officiating. Casket bearers were Tim Brown, Johnny Riddle, Delmar Evans, Billy Brown, Terry Braswell, Jackie Booher. Burial was in the Stockton Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
