Mrs. Alfredda Elaine (Marcum) Stearns, age 66, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at her residence. She was born in Albany, Kentucky on Thursday, January 8, 1953, the daughter of Fred Edwin and Leah Irene (Massengale) Marcum. She was of Methodist faith, a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church, a Teacher and Principal for the Clinton County School System, a member of the IOTA Retired Teachers Association, and a Lay Delegate for the Methodist Conference. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis K. Marcum and Lane Marcum. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Dale Stearns, whom she married September 30, 1978, two brothers, Dexter (and Sue) Marcum, Lonnie (and Sandra) Marcum, two sisters, Connie (and Bill) Asberry, all of Albany, Kentucky, Deloris (and Charles) Kerr of Burkesville, Kentucky, a sister-in-law, Kathie Upchurch, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Faye and Gerald Stearns, all of Albany, Kentucky, ten nieces and nephews, Luther Robert (and Heidi) Johnson, Christopher (and Ammie) Marcum, Tonya Marcum, Heather (and Michael) Brandenburg, Marci (and Ernie) Guffey, Marcy (and Matthew) Aaron, Andy (and Caitlyn) Asberry, Aaron Asberry, Kevin (and Allison) Kerr, and Kaci Kerr, eleven great-nieces and great-nephews, Lex Marcum, Hadeon Isenberg, Vivianne Brandenburg, Cody Johnson, Austin Askin, McKinley Aaron, Mia Aaron, Isabelle Kerr, Cleve Kerr, Dexter Kerr, and Jones Henry Guffey, with many other relatives and friends. The funeral service was conducted Saturday, April 20, 2019, in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Jones, Bro. David Stearns, and Dr. William C. Powell officiating. Burial was in the Davis Chapel Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Chris Marcum, Hadeon Isenberg, Kevin Kerr, Luther Robert Johnson, Michael Brandenburg, Andy Asberry, and Aaron Asberry.
